#8 Jackson Goding - Disconnection in Relationships & The Birth of Narcissism

Lara Schilken

In this episode we speak with Jackson Goding from Sydney, Australia.
Jackson is a clinical psychotherapist, specialised in the human connection and relationships, breaking down the stigma of self-care.

He discusses the value of inner exploration to heal the wounded self, and the markers of suicide,  we use to cope with dysfunctional patterns. How to create a safety plan, when  thinking about suicide and how to open up to the idea of support.

Jackson is very passionate about self-nurture and the relationship with ourselves, as the longest we will ever have. He explains why we are only able to deeply connect with others, when we have deeply understood ourselves, including our childhood, being one of the most impactful times on our emotional behaviourism.

He provides us with a roadmap on codependency and why it is the other side of the same coin as narcissism.

Jackson discusses why being in a relationship can actually be a great place to find and seek healing, whilst putting yourself first.
