#13 Cole Chance - The Eternal Attending & The Journey of Acceptance

Lara Schilken

In this episode we speak with Cole Chance from Colorado, USA.
Cole is a yoga teacher whose teachings are particularly interesting as they are anchored in a deep exploration of the mind and spirit, recovering from addictions. Cole has personally overcome the addiction to alcohol and celebrates 11 years of sobriety this year.

Cole is breaking down the barriers to full self-acceptance and the dance between the person we are and the person we thought we were. She provides us with personal insights about her recovery from the addiction to alcohol and how it brought her on a journey to becoming a yoga teacher and helping others free themselves and find new pathways after recovery.

She dives into the power of denial and shares the deep paradigm shifts that saved her life. Cole has tremendous experience in the field of Internal Family Systems and introduces us to Susan, the persona she has taken on to pull her into a successful career as a yoga teacher.
Cole lets us in on the level of self-acceptance it takes to discover the wiser parts within ourselves.

Cole iterates the awareness and presence it takes to overcome trauma. The exercise of continuously attending our inner monologue and actions. Her philosophy intertwines with Buddhist teachings, holding space for herself and others as well as the continuity on the yoga mat.

Her life happens between the east coast of Australia, Colorado and Bali, where she spends the majority of her time leading people through her programs Emerge Recovery as well as her very own Yoga Teacher Training!
